Test Reports

At Markham Road Medical Centre, test results are managed through a systematic process to ensure accuracy, timely communication, and patient confidentiality.

When results come in, they are reviewed by the healthcare provider, who interprets the findings.

The results are then documented in the patient's medical record, and a follow-up appointment or phone call is scheduled if necessary. You may also receive a secured message thru our Ocean portal.

If critical results are found, the office ensures immediate action is taken, and that you are contacted promptly.

Timelines for tests arrival: These are general guides and timelines may be longer than mentioned below:

Blood, Urine tests: 5 to 7 days

Xray, Ultrasound etc.: 5 to 7 days

CT, MRI: 2 to 3 weeks

We urge you to NOT call us during this time frame.

If you do not hear from us after above time frame, then you may reach out to us.

Medication Renewals

Instead of calling us, the best and quickest way to get refills is by asking your pharmacist to either fax us the refill request or use ePrescribe (preferred method).

We generally provide 3 months supply with 1 refill – total of 6 months supply. However, this may vary if the medication is a controlled substance.

It is also advisable that you and your pharmacist can synchronize chronic use medications to be refilled ALL at once to streamline the process and reduce administrative burden.
